As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Dispatch Specialist in Sterling, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
  • Experience with alarm panels is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and coordinate communications for site personnel, assisting in the dispatch of resources as needed.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with other team members to provide support.
  • Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies at a technology-focused location.
  • Document incidents, dispatch activity, and relevant communications accurately as required by site protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying identification, and communicating with authorized personnel as needed.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with on-site staff and visitors, relaying important information and instructions.
  • Assist with emergency response activities by following established protocols and maintaining communication with necessary parties.
  • Support Allied Universal management by reporting issues, concerns, or unusual activity observed during assigned shifts.
