Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech/Media Dispatch in Sterling, VA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, respond to incidents, and communicate with team members to help deter security-related concerns. You will be a visible presence, providing exceptional customer service while supporting a secure environment. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Being at least 21 years of age is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Alarm panel experience is preferred.
CPR and first aid certification is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Monitor and manage communications from the dispatch center, coordinating responses to incidents and requests for assistance throughout the location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, relaying information as needed to appropriate personnel.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual conditions and reporting findings as required.
Maintain detailed logs and records of all dispatch communications, incidents, and actions taken during the shift.
Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as necessary.
Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal personnel to support security-related operations at the location.
