Job Description As a Security Officer - Tech Lobby Desk in San Diego, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a leading technology location, you will be the first point of contact, greeting visitors and assisting employees while maintaining a professional presence. You will help to deter security-related incidents through attentive monitoring and exceptional customer service. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by adhering to site-specific policies and procedures.
  • Monitor access to the location by verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Assist with visitor and/or contractor management, including logging arrivals and departures as required by site guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences at the front desk area.
  • Communicate professionally and promptly with Allied Universal management and site contacts regarding security-related matters.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed, including assisting with evacuation or lockdown procedures when appropriate.
  • Help to deter unauthorized access or disruptive behavior through a visible presence and adherence to company and client policies.
