About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Access Control Driver in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This position involves driving responsibilities. You will interact with visitors and employees, delivering outstanding customer service and communication, while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation in a people-first environment.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the tech, media, and telecom location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site-specific policies.
Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries related to access procedures and security-related protocols.
Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and guidelines established by Allied Universal and the client site.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response and/or escalation.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, adapting to the unique environment of a tech, media, and telecom location.
Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
