About The Position

As a Security Officer - Tech Access Control Driver in BOISE, ID, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor entrances, check credentials, and conduct routine patrols to help deter security-related incidents. This position involves driving responsibilities. You will interact with visitors and employees, delivering outstanding customer service and communication, while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and innovation in a people-first environment.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • State, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to restricted areas within the tech, media, and telecom location, verifying credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors as required by site-specific policies.
  • Provide customer service by assisting individuals with inquiries related to access procedures and security-related protocols.
  • Carry out security-related procedures in accordance with site-specific policies and guidelines established by Allied Universal and the client site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for emergency response and/or escalation.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity, adapting to the unique environment of a tech, media, and telecom location.
  • Maintain accurate records and logs of access control activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences as required by site procedures.
