About The Position

As a Security Officer - Systems in Phoenix, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a logistics and distribution location, you will manage entry procedures, verify credentials, support badge access, and help maintain an organized environment for employees, visitors, and deliveries. You will provide outstanding customer service, use computer or tablet systems, communicate professionally, and help address security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, documenting visitor and contractor arrivals, issuing access materials, and directing authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
  • Observe vehicle, trailer, and pedestrian traffic at gates and loading areas; communicate access concerns, unusual activity, and operational issues to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and reporting requirements.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading zones to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
