About The Position

As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first while acting with integrity.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to client staff, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, substations, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted access points while documenting findings.
  • Monitor and/or control access at designated entry points, verify identification and work authorizations, and direct visitors and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
  • Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and coordinate with site personnel and local responders as needed.
