As an unarmed, driving patrol officer with Allied Universal at a utilities location, you will conduct routine mobile patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support daily operations through clear communication and outstanding customer service. You will document observations, respond to calls for assistance, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, putting people first while acting with integrity.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to client staff, contractors, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting hazards, suspicious activity, and policy violations through required communication channels.
Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, yards, substations, and perimeter areas, checking doors, gates, and restricted access points while documenting findings.
Monitor and/or control access at designated entry points, verify identification and work authorizations, and direct visitors and deliveries according to site-specific procedures.
Complete routine documentation such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and coordinate with site personnel and local responders as needed.
