Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a critical utilities location, where you will perform routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and report concerns clearly and promptly. You will support daily operations with courteous customer service, access control, and strong communication while working with a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, and integrity in a people-first culture.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, utility facility policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, suspicious activity, and unusual operating conditions.
Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity.
Control access at gates and designated entry points, verifying identification and authorizations for employees, contractors, and visitors.
Monitor utility site conditions and report hazards, tampering, unsecured doors, and/or equipment issues to appropriate personnel.
Operate and monitor security-related systems such as CCTV, access control, and alarm panels in accordance with post orders.
Complete routine security-related logs and incident reports with clear, accurate details, and communicate updates to supervision and/or client representatives.
Support emergency and service responses by directing foot and vehicle traffic, assisting with evacuations, and coordinating with responding agencies as directed.
Perform vehicle patrols when assigned, observing for unauthorized parking, suspicious vehicles, and/or perimeter breaches.
Maintain a professional presence and provide information, directions, and assistance to employees and visitors while following established procedures.
