As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access points while delivering strong customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 or more years of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by following established security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of utility operations areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter fencing, documenting observations and reporting maintenance or access-control concerns.
  • Monitor access points and perform entry and exit control as assigned, including verifying identification, checking authorized access lists, and directing visitors and deliveries to the appropriate location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying site contacts and/or emergency services per protocol and assisting with evacuations or traffic control as directed.
  • Complete routine reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate unusual activity to Allied Universal leadership and site management.
