Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including common areas, entrances, exits, loading areas, and perimeter spaces, noting unusual activity and/or conditions.
• Monitor access points and high-traffic areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, support loss prevention efforts, and report suspicious behavior, policy concerns, and/or maintenance issues.
• Assist with closing procedures, crowd flow observation, and customer inquiries while following post instructions and helping to maintain an orderly environment throughout the location.
