About The Position

As a Security Officer State Licensed Patrol Associate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial institution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the facility, lobby areas, entrances, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unusual activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance issues, and/or policy violations according to post instructions.
• Support daily operations by maintaining a visible presence, assisting with directions and general questions, and completing required logs, reports, and other security-related records.
