About The Position

As a Security Officer Continuous Site Patrol in Boston, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to guests, staff, performers, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a cultural institution location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical situations, and/or other critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting details through appropriate channels.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout public areas, lobbies, galleries, performance spaces, backstage access points, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify access permissions as directed, and assist with crowd flow during arrivals, intermissions, departures, and/or special events.
• Support a professional atmosphere by providing directions, answering questions, and communicating with site contacts regarding security-related concerns, hazards, and/or maintenance issues observed during patrols.
