As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, perform routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site personnel, and respond to concerns with calm, customer-focused service. Requirements
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- A guard card and/or license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns per post orders and coordinating with site contacts and/or first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, process areas, parking areas, and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and complete visitor, vendor, and delivery screening consistent with site requirements, maintaining professional communication and clear directions.
- Complete detailed reports on daily activities, patrol findings, and incident response, using required systems and promptly communicating significant updates to supervision and/or client representatives.
