About The Position

As a Security Officer - Site Patrol in Richardson, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to calls for assistance, and provide outstanding customer service and communication to staff, patients, and visitors. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
  • Customer Service Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter points to help identify unusual activity, hazards, and/or maintenance concerns, then report findings per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating disputes and/or assisting staff with access control concerns.
  • Monitor entry points and public areas, help verify authorized access where required, and assist with visitor direction and/or queue management while maintaining professionalism and respect for patient privacy.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate pertinent information to site leadership, public responders, and/or Allied Universal supervision as needed.
