About The Position
As a Security Officer - Site Patrol in Hershey, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more. Join Allied Universal at a busy food and beverage location as an unarmed patrol officer, monitoring and patrolling assigned areas while maintaining a visible presence that helps reduce security-related incidents. You will complete routine rounds, observe and report unusual activity, and support employees and visitors with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Nice To Haves
- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
- Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.
- Customer Service Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following post orders, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a food and beverage production and distribution location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate updates to site contacts and/or Allied Universal supervision.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Control access by monitoring entrances, checking identification as required, issuing visitor directions, and documenting contractor and delivery activity per site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports for security-related incidents, patrol observations, and shift activities, and escalate maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy violations through the established chain of command.
