About The Position

Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor entry points, screen people and property, and support access control processes. Requirements

  • At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, packages, and/or vehicles entering or exiting the location in accordance with post instructions and screening protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report unusual activity to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, reviewing documentation, and following established entry and exit procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around designated screening areas, loading zones, and perimeter locations as assigned, with working environments and conditions varying by site.
