As a Security Officer - Site Entrance in Anderson, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, conduct routine patrols, and provide exceptional customer service. Maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents while communicating professionally with employees and visitors. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Monitor and manage entry and exit points at a technology, media, and telecommunications location, verifying credentials and maintaining visitor access records in accordance with site requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, access-control alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through established communication channels.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entry points, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
  • Maintain accurate logs, complete required reports, and communicate access-control issues, suspicious activity, and/or policy concerns to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
