Requirements

• Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a public transportation location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to supervisors and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of transit areas, boarding zones, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points, observe pedestrian and vehicle activity, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious behavior according to site procedures.
• Support a professional presence while assisting employees, visitors, and members of the public with directions, questions, and security-related concerns.
