Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine driving and foot patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, grounds, entry points, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and report maintenance, access control, and/or policy concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas, verify authorized access when required, and assist with visitor processing in accordance with location protocols.
  • Support order at the location by observing surroundings, following post instructions, and communicating clearly with supervisors, employees, and/or public agency representatives regarding security-related matters.
