Requirements

• At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to shoppers, tenants, employees, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout retail common areas, parking areas, exterior perimeters, and other assigned locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities in accordance with site procedures.
• Monitor access points, observe activity throughout the property, and assist with directing visitors, responding to questions, and reporting suspicious or prohibited behavior.
• Complete required reports, maintain accurate activity logs, and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal leadership and site contacts.
