About The Position

As a Security Officer - Shopping Center Vehicle Patrol in York, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with store teams and shoppers, respond to concerns, and document activity with professionalism. This primarily driving post involves conducting routine patrols, remaining highly visible, and providing outstanding customer service while upholding our core values of teamwork, integrity, and putting people first. Requirements

This is a primarily driving post.
A valid driver license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to guests and store associates by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, entrances, stock areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, addressing loitering, disorderly conduct, and/or policy violations with calm, professional communication.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store management and/or local authorities when needed.
Complete reports and daily activity logs, documenting incidents, observations, and/or patrol findings in a clear and timely manner.
