As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support guests and tenants with strong customer service and clear communication while reporting concerns to the appropriate contacts. Requirements

Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control and badge experience is preferred.
A guard card and/or license is preferred.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail and mall location.
Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout common areas, corridors, entrances, loading areas, and the exterior perimeter, observing for unusual activity, hazards, and policy violations.
Maintain a visible presence to help to discourage unwanted activity, loitering, and disorderly conduct while supporting a positive shopping and guest experience.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disturbances, trespass situations, medical calls, and fire or alarm notifications.
Monitor access points and assist with directing foot traffic, managing line control during peak times, and supporting store personnel with customer-related concerns when requested.
Complete routine inspections of doors, gates, stairwells, restrooms, and other assigned areas, reporting maintenance issues and security-related concerns to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic systems according to post orders and site procedures.
Communicate clearly with site contacts, management, and responding emergency services when needed, providing accurate information and updates.
Support loss prevention initiatives by observing and reporting suspicious behavior while maintaining a customer-service approach and following site policies for engagement and escalation.
Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific policies, including uniform standards, radio protocol, and required training and certification expectations.
