Job Description As a Security Officer - Shelter Patrol Full-Time in Atlanta, GA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Shelter, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within a shelter location, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a welcoming environment. You will be visible throughout the property, support guests and staff with exceptional customer service, and communicate clearly in all situations. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must have at least 5 years of security-related experience.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and/or baton is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergencies when appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations at the location in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the property and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and promote a secure environment for residents and staff.
Document and report any incidents, observations, or concerns according to Allied Universal and client site protocols.
Communicate clearly with residents, visitors, and staff, providing assistance as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
Remain alert and attentive throughout the shift, adapting to changing conditions and responding appropriately to any situation that may arise.
