As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a shelter location, you will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns to help reduce incidents. You will support staff and residents with clear communication, customer service, and incident documentation, while following site procedures and reporting issues promptly. Requirements

Have 1 or more years of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be 21 or more years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
Alarm panel experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a shelter location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation and timely notification to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas, including entrances, common areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized access and/or prohibited activity.
Monitor access points and visitor flow, verify authorization when required, and document arrivals, departures, and key events per site guidelines.
Complete written and/or electronic reports, log patrol observations, and communicate hazards, maintenance concerns, and policy issues to the appropriate parties.
