As an unarmed patrol officer at a shelter location, you will actively monitor and patrol assigned areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing outstanding customer service. Requirements

At least one year of security-related experience is required.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
CPR and first aid certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the shelter environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, assisting shelter staff and residents as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the shelter and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and/or unauthorized access.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized individuals from entering restricted areas.
Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual activities according to site protocols.
Collaborate with shelter staff and local authorities as required to address security-related needs or emergencies.
Maintain a visible Allied Universal presence to help to deter potential disturbances and foster a welcoming environment for shelter residents and visitors.
