About The Position

As a Security Officer Service Patrol in Whitsett, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Officer supporting a technology-focused location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and deliver outstanding customer service. Use clear communication and basic computer or tablet skills while working as part of an agile, reliable, innovative team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology-focused location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating information according to site procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of office areas, building entrances, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policies, and maintain accurate activity and incident documentation.
  • Communicate professionally with site personnel and Allied Universal leadership regarding observed conditions, security-related concerns, and response activities.
