As a Security Officer Senior Armed Patrol in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government transit location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and/or public emergency services when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout transit facilities, platforms, parking areas, administrative spaces, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor access points and restricted areas, verify credentials when required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or unusual conditions in accordance with site protocols.
  • Support transportation-related operations by observing passenger and visitor activity, reporting hazards and/or policy concerns, and assisting with crowd management during routine operations, service interruptions, and/or special events.
