As a Security Officer Security Screening in Miami, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener at a government location, you will help maintain a secure environment by screening individuals and items, monitoring access points, and identifying potential security-related concerns. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a welcoming experience. Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet, preferred.
• Possess a guard card or license, preferred.
• Have customer service experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
• Screen individuals and authorized items entering the facility using assigned screening equipment and established procedures; identify prohibited items and report concerns according to site policy.
• Verify visitor credentials, direct guests to appropriate check-in processes, and maintain accurate visitor and incident documentation.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, entry points, and surrounding facility areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
