About The Position

As a Security Officer - Security Dispatch in Minneapolis, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Hotels & Resorts, and more. As a Dispatch Officer at a busy hotel and resort location, you will coordinate security-related responses from a central hub, monitor cameras and alarms, manage radio and phone communications, and help guide Officers to guest and staff needs. You will document activity, support incident reporting, and deliver service-focused assistance with calm professionalism. Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year or more of Security experience required
  • Must be comfortable using computers or tablets
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to guests, visitors, and staff by supporting security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a hotel and/or resort location.
  • Receive, prioritize, and dispatch calls for service via phone, radio, and/or computer systems; coordinate responses with on-site personnel and local first responders as needed.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, access control notifications, and other security-related systems; communicate observed issues to the appropriate personnel and document actions taken.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; gather key details, relay updates, and assist with incident reporting and follow-up.
  • Maintain accurate logs and reports including shift activity, incident documentation, keys and badges tracking, and other required records; support shift briefings and post orders compliance.
