As a Security Officer Security Clearance Site in North Charleston, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer supporting a technology, media, and telecommunications location, you will welcome visitors, manage access, monitor entry activity, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Possess an active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
  • Have 1+ years of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or guests at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
  • Serve as the front desk point of contact by greeting visitors, verifying identification and access authorization, issuing visitor credentials, and directing guests according to site procedures.
  • Monitor access points, visitor activity, and security-related systems from a stationary front desk post; report unusual activity, access concerns, and policy violations according to established procedures.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate personnel and/or emergency responders when needed.
  • Maintain accurate visitor, credential, incident, and shift documentation while communicating professionally with site personnel, vendors, and Allied Universal leadership.
