Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, contractors, and members of the public while carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
• Monitor and control access points by verifying identification, authorizations, and visitor credentials in accordance with established procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, vehicle, and access activity records, reporting discrepancies or unauthorized access attempts to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, facilities, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
