Job Description As a Security Officer - Secure Entry Coordinator in Omaha, NE , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a busy transportation location, you will welcome visitors, verify credentials, issue badges, and manage entry points using a computer and/or tablet. You will stay highly visible, communicate clearly with staff and guests, and help identify and report security-related concerns while completing routine rounds of assigned areas. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a transportation location.
• Control access at entry and exit points by verifying identification and/or credentials, issuing visitor passes, managing vehicle and pedestrian entry, and directing unauthorized individuals to the proper contact or location.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems, document activities, and report irregular conditions that may require follow-up.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting onsite management and/or emergency services as directed by post orders.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of garages, lots, lanes, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity, identify maintenance or operational concerns, and complete patrol reports.
