About The Position

As a Security Officer - Screening in Chandler, AZ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a dynamic tech location, where you will help support security-related screening activities, monitor access points, and assist with badge and visitor processing. Requirements

  • 1+ years of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused location.
  • Screen persons, bags, packages, and/or personal items in accordance with site policies, and report unusual findings or prohibited items to site leadership and/or emergency personnel.
  • Verify credentials, review visitor logs, and monitor entry and exit activity to help support authorized access and other security-related procedures.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions in clear written reports.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around entrances, lobbies, screening areas, and the surrounding perimeter as directed by post orders and site needs.
