Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen people and property, and support smooth daily operations. This role blends customer service, communication, and attention to detail while helping with security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and site personnel by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at the location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or belongings entering and leaving the location in accordance with post procedures and client-directed protocols.
  • Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and document security-related events through required reports and logs.
  • Monitor entry points, verify identification and/or shipping-related credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas within the facility.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for unusual activity, damaged barriers, and other conditions that may require a security-related response.
