About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in Grand Rapids, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by monitoring access, screening individuals and/or materials, and reporting suspicious activity. You will provide professional customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help maintain smooth operations. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
CPR certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or employees while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
Screen authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and/or items entering designated areas in accordance with established access-control procedures.
Monitor entry points, loading areas, and screening equipment; report unusual activity, prohibited items, or policy concerns to appropriate site contacts.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the distribution location, including the business, loading areas, and perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
