About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Intake Specialist in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will conduct screening activities, monitor access points, and help identify potential security-related concerns. You will use technology to support screening operations, maintain a professional presence, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Loss Prevention experience is preferred.
• Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
• X-Ray Screening Experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers while carrying out site-specific procedures and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal property, packages, and/or shipments in accordance with applicable procedures and access-control requirements.
• Monitor entry points and verify credentials, authorizations, and delivery documentation before permitting access to designated areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and notifying appropriate site contacts.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of screening areas, loading docks, access points, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
