About The Position

As a Security Officer - Screening Guard in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • A minimum of 6 months of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Applicants should be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, employees, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and entry requirements, and help to identify prohibited items or unauthorized access attempts.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and document visitor activity while following established protocols and communicating clearly with staff and the public.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to supervisors and/or public officials when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter as assigned, noting unusual conditions and reporting security-related concerns.
