As a Security Officer Screening Driver in Hutchins, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access, conduct screening activities, and support smooth site operations. This is a driving post, offering the opportunity to stay active, interact with people throughout the day, and deliver professional service. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
  • Have customer service experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen individuals, packages, and/or personal property entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders and documented procedures, and report unusual findings to site leadership.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized entry into restricted areas such as loading zones, sort areas, and shipping/receiving spaces.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including documenting activity and communicating with supervisors, staff, and/or first responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, observing for suspicious activity, damaged barriers, and/or policy violations in indoor and outdoor working conditions.
