As a Security Officer Distribution Center Screening Operations in Hagerstown, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. At a busy logistics and distribution location, you will screen access points, monitor activity, and support security-related protocols that help protect people, packages, and operations. This role combines strong communication, customer service, and attention to detail while reflecting Allied Universal's agile, reliable, and innovative approach, a caring culture, teamwork, and integrity in every interaction.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
  • Possess a valid driver’s license for driving positions only

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response support at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries in accordance with post orders and established security-related protocols.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or authorizations, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to site leadership.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting relevant details and communicating with appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter to help identify suspicious activity, policy violations, and/or security-related concerns.
