About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and property, and support a professional, orderly environment. This role combines strong observation, communication, and customer service while helping to identify security-related concerns. Requirements

  • Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a guard card
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Screen visitors, staff, and/or contractors at designated entry points by checking identification, reviewing access requirements, and following screening protocols.
  • Operate and monitor screening equipment such as metal detection and/or inspection devices in accordance with post procedures and reporting guidelines.
  • Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate personnel.
  • Maintain awareness of activity at entrances and adjacent areas, document security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening practices.
