About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Operations in West Palm Beach, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Screener in a government location, you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and property, and support a professional, orderly environment. This role combines strong observation, communication, and customer service while helping to identify security-related concerns. Requirements

Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, and/or security-related experience or a college degree.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be 21+ years of age.
Possess a guard card
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

CPR certification is preferred.
Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen visitors, staff, and/or contractors at designated entry points by checking identification, reviewing access requirements, and following screening protocols.
Operate and monitor screening equipment such as metal detection and/or inspection devices in accordance with post procedures and reporting guidelines.
Respond to incidents, prohibited item discoveries, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while communicating with appropriate personnel.
Maintain awareness of activity at entrances and adjacent areas, document security-related concerns, and help to deter unauthorized access through consistent screening practices.
