About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Coordinator in McDonough, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Screener in a retail location, you will help monitor entry points, screen visitors, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. This role includes observing activity, reporting security-related concerns, and helping to deter incidents through a visible presence. Requirements

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, retail location policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
Screen visitors, employees, packages, bags, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location in accordance with post instructions and client-directed procedures.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating security-related concerns to site leadership when needed.
Monitor entry points, high-traffic areas, and/or receiving zones to help support authorized access and help to deter unauthorized activity.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, noting maintenance concerns, policy violations, and/or suspicious behavior within the retail environment.
