Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help screen people and property at entry points, monitor assigned areas, and support security-related operations through strong communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• The ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and staff by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen individuals, packages, bags, and/or property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and security-related procedures.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or shipment documentation, and report unusual activity, discrepancies, or policy concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting observations and completing required reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, with attention to loading areas, shipping and receiving zones, trailer lots, and other operational spaces.
