Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by screening personnel, visitors, and/or materials, monitoring assigned areas, and reporting security-related concerns. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with team members, and help maintain efficient site operations. Requirements

  • Possess at least 6 months of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, drivers, visitors, and employees by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen personnel, visitors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures, including verifying identification, inspecting authorized items, and documenting screening results.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, trailer and package handling areas, and other assigned locations for unusual activity, unauthorized access, or policy concerns.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, docks, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
