Requirements

  • Possess a minimum of 2 years of security-related experience.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control practices, and/or emergency response activities at a busy logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, packages, and/or personal belongings in accordance with post orders and site policies, and report unusual activity or policy concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while documenting security-related events and observations.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted operational areas such as loading, sorting, and shipping locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting security-related concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious activity for follow-up.
