As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Winchester, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As a Screener in a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor entry activity, screen visitors and team members, and support access procedures while providing strong customer service and communication. This role offers the chance to stay visible, respond to security-related concerns, and work as part of an agile, reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity every day.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access control activities, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, drivers, and/or contractors entering or exiting the location in accordance with post orders, client protocols, and Allied Universal standards.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around loading areas, warehouse spaces, entry points, and the perimeter, as working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Monitor for unauthorized access, suspicious behavior, and/or policy violations to help to deter loss, disruption, and other security-related issues within the distribution environment.
