As an unarmed patrol officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by conducting routine patrols and maintaining a visible presence. You will engage with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within an educational environment.
  • Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a welcoming and secure atmosphere on campus.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entrances and exits, verifying credentials, and helping to guide visitors as needed.
  • Support incident response by providing accurate information and timely communication with Allied Universal and/or site management.
  • Maintain a professional presence and foster positive interactions with members of the campus community.
