About The Position

As a Security Officer - School Perimeter Watch in Cheyney, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas within an educational setting, helping to deter security-related incidents and providing a reassuring presence for students, staff, and visitors. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the location, and deliver exceptional customer service while upholding our values of reliability, agility, and integrity. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients, faculty, students, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within the educational environment.
Respond to incidents and critical situations on campus in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols and procedures.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify potential issues.
Maintain awareness of the surroundings and report any irregularities, such as suspicious persons, property damage, or unusual occurrences.
Support access control measures by monitoring entrances and exits, and verifying credentials as required.
Document all activities, observations, and incidents according to Allied Universal and client guidelines.
Collaborate with campus staff and/or local authorities as needed to address incidents and support a secure environment for the educational community.
