About The Position

As a Security Officer - Campus Perimeter Monitor in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated areas within an educational location, helping to deter security-related incidents while remaining highly visible. You will interact with students, staff, and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies and/or responding to emergency situations as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and identify potential issues.
Observe and report any unusual activity or potential hazards found during patrols within the education environment.
Communicate clearly and professionally with students, staff, visitors, and emergency responders as required.
Document incidents, observations, and/or actions taken in accordance with Allied Universal protocols.
Support access control measures by monitoring entry and exit points as directed by site-specific policies.
