As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal at an educational location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintaining a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, assisting with access control, and providing outstanding customer service to all individuals on site. Requirements

Must be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
Access control or badge experience is preferred.
Ability to ride a bike for long periods of time is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the campus buildings and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and provide a visible Allied Universal presence.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious activity.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
Document and report security-related incidents, hazards, and unusual occurrences according to site policies.
Collaborate with campus staff and local authorities as required during emergency situations or special events.
