As a Security Officer - School Grounds Patrols in Wilmington, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at an educational location, you will conduct regular vehicle patrols to help deter security-related incidents and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for students, staff, and visitors. You will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with the campus community, and respond promptly to situations, helping to create a secure and supportive learning environment.

Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to support a secure environment.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the campus and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter unwanted activity and promote order within the educational location.
Document and report any unusual incidents, hazards, or maintenance needs observed during patrols.
Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions and general information as needed.
Collaborate with Allied Universal management and local authorities as required for security-related matters.
