Job Description As a Security Officer - Vehicle Driver Patrol in Brownsburg, IN , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Transportation, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a busy transportation location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support personnel, drivers, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid drivers license in line with AU Driver Policy Requirements. Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and employees by following site-specific procedures, access control guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and actions taken per post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse, dock, yard, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or property damage.
  • Monitor entrances, gates, and loading areas; verify identification, visitor logs, and shipping and/or receiving traffic flow according to location policies.
  • Complete security-related reports, shift logs, and incident documentation; communicate updates to supervision and/or on-site management as needed.
